• Good with cats, but she will play chase with them if allowed

From her foster mom -  Brynn has been a delight to have from the moment she came into my home.  We immediately updated her name to match the princess she is and she has been lovingly known as Brynndalyn, in addtion to Brynn and Brynnie.   

When she arrived, her condition was poor and her behavior was one of a dog that once knew a home but had been abandon to the streets for a long time.  As she has been a part of this foster family, she has grown away from her street habits and the new owner will be able to continue to help her settle into her new pampered princess role.

She is probably one of the funnest dogs I have ever known, and a lot of dogs come through this house.  Everything to her is exciting and appreciated.    

What to expect with Brynndalyn:

 - loves to snuggle.  She is an affectionate little girl, even with strangers in most situations.  She seems to want to soak in love.

 - gets lost under the blankets.  If there is a blanket on the couch, check if she is under it before you sit down.  She loves to be under the covers.  If you invite her to sleep with you, she will want to be under the covers with you.

 - enjoys playing with a human.  Brynn enjoys tug of war and will jump and attack your hand if you hide it under a blanket and invite her to play.  She also will take soft toys and throw them for herself.  

 - finds joy in being invited to be with her human.  She likes to be asked to play, asked to sit with you, asked to go for a ride.  She does not impose herself.  If you do not invite her, she often will relax solo.

- gets excited about food.  She has a dinner ritual and loves, loves, loves it.  She jumps for joy when the food dish is set down for her and she always gets a peanut butter Kong after.  She is food motivated and I think her new family could teach her to do a lot with treats.

 - is perfectly house trained.  She has had no accidents in the house.

 - makes the greatest noises.  She is full of little monkey sounds and moans and groans.  She expresses herself well.

Brynnie needs a special human because she has some confusion with "normal" reactions and cues.

 - She has an over reaction to stimulation.  When Brynn is very happy, she has a fierce and scary growl.  This can also come out when being pet by a stranger.  Its almost as if happy scares her and puts her on over load.  Because of this, young children would not be a good match for her and a home with lots of activity and lots of people going in and out would be a poor fit.

 - She is NOT a dog park dog.  She has no recall and should never be off leash unless she is in a securely fenced back yard.  She currently lives with an ever changing pack, but would not do well with out slow introductions.

- She does NOT play with other dogs.  She has no problems being around other dogs with proper introduction, but she doesn't understand play that way.  She may want to, but doesn't know how (and I firmly believe will not learn).  Her aggressive growl that comes out when she is happy and excited confuses dogs trying to play with her and they could turn aggressive.

- She is fed away from other dogs.  Although she can take treats with the pack, I would not invite an issue where she feels she needs to protect her food.

- She will attempt to chase rabbits, squirrels, cars, leaves...most anything really...while on walks.  She walks on food foraging mode and because of this she should be kept in a no slip collar and her leash firmly held.

- She barks at walkers and other dogs out the window of the house and the car.  She is more than happy to tell those strangers outside that they are on her turf.

- She will steal your food and sees nothing wrong with it.  :) Don't be mad at her if you leave your plate on the table with the chair pulled out and walk out of the room.  She sees it as an invitation.  She's not food aggressive but she is a create of opportunity.  You also do not want to leave a full trash can with left overs in her reach.   

If you want a best friend that adores you and if you can love her quirks as a beautiful unique part of this princess, you should meet Brynndalyn.  She has more than earned her happily ever after.
