Meet Java!

Java was rescued from a hoarder home where he was not getting the attention or vet care that he needed. He is looking forward to finding a forever home where he is better taken care of....and loved!

Java has a beautiful brown coat with a hint of silver. His enviable hairdo has earned him a lot of compliments on walks. Java has settled right in in his foster home and is learning how to be a puppy. He has started to play. A gentle tug of war with a toy, chewing on a bone, and getting excited over treats. He still displays a little separation anxiety but is getting better every day. He can be left alone without crying and barking. Java will rely on his human companions to continue growing his sense of security.

Java loves everybody and everything. He is most snuggly in the morning. He has very little hearing but is a pro at non verbal queues and watches for direction from his humans. Java loves to take his bath. He prefers not to be crated and would really love having his dog bed near his people. Java loves to nap in his bed during the day. He does very well on a leash and enjoys long walks in the park. He occasionally likes to play with other dogs but prefers playmates that are gentle .

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
