Description:

Hi everbody! O'Malley here! I'm 9 years young and looking for my furever home!  You see, I was a breeder dog for the last 9 years and some really nice people came to get me outta that place. Now, I just want to hang out, sit on laps and learn how to be a dog! I am very quiet and love people. I'm eager to please so, if you could teach me the ropes, I am sure you won't be disappointed in my progress! If you want to meet me just click below and we can talk!

O'Malley will need a home that understands and has experience with puppy mill dogs. He is very sweet and quiet. He looks to you for love and direction. He will give it back 10 fold as well. He has come around very well on potty training, can be trusted in the house and will appreciate being kept on a predictable rouine.

With attention and affection, O'Malley blossoms.  He had a playful puppy side of his come out the other day - went through the resident dog's toys, picked a few and just loved playing with them.  He was such a good boy in his foster home, he earned human bed priviledges and slept happily and quietly through the night. O'Malley loves having his ears rubbed and stomach scratched.

O'Malley is un-learning to walk in circles, which is what he had to do all his life in confinement. He really enjoys following his human and canine friends from room to room.

His teeth were removed because they were in a bad shape, and O'Malley immediately felt better. He doesn't miss those teeth at all. He has a great appetite, eats kibble with no problems, and loves to carry a little chew bone in his mouth for show.

For someone who was kept in a cage all his life, O'Malley has great leash manners. He runs beside you on a walk, does not pull, and looks up to you for direction and assurance that he's doing everything well. What a sweetie!

He would love to be in a home without cats and not too many dogs.

Please let us know if you would like to help this little guy find his way home.

*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
