Description:

Dahlia is a sweet, timid little girl who is still trying to overcome her fears. Shelter life was scary, and hopefully with some consistancy and lots of love, this sweet little flower will finally bloom.

She LOVES to snuggle, and plays very well with her foster siblings. Kids are scary, so we're recommending that she goes to a home with kids over age 10 who have experience with dogs, or are willing to learn. She is learning to walk on a leash, and is most of the way potty trained...she does a very good job for her age. She doesn't like her kennel much, but will go in, and doesn't cry too long in it if it's covered with a blanket.

She also lives with 3 kitties, and is interested in chasing them when she feels playful, but won't hurt them or anything. She is likes to chew, and redirects well if given a toy in place of your favorite shoe. :)

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
