He is a happy dog who loves life, and is excited about whatever each day will bring. He is an excellent car rider, affectionate, lively and playful. He is also sweet, cuddly, and loves to give little kisses and have quiet conversations about what a nice boy he is.  

His vision is a little reduced because of the eye issues, but he can run and play and do all the things other dogs do. He shows no signs of arthritis, has good hearing, and weighs about 20 pounds.  

His ideal home will have a fenced yard and another dog who is kind and “plays nice” and is willing to share things like toys and beds to be his friend. He does bark when excited to go outside, etc., so probably not the best match for apartments or condos with shared walls. He's ok with cats, but not great - sometimes a little too interested in them. He will need daily exercise in the form of walks or backyard play with a doggie sibling.

Murray will be so happy when he finds the right home with loving people, a fun dog friend, a fenced yard, and soft beds (or human bed!) to snuggle in. Could that be at your house?

Murray/Mini’s story:

Mini is a senior dog who lived all his life with one owner until he was surrendered  at a shelter in another state. He had a long list of medical issues, including hair loss, some bad teeth, and problems with dry eye and eye infections that made it hard for him to see. That made the shelter experience even more scary for him. After a month he arrived in MARS, exhausted, sick, and frightened.  After lots of rest, good food, love, and medical care, he is now the dog he was meant to be.
