Description:

Meet Arthur! He had been stuck in a shelter since early July! We felt his luck could turn at MARS. He is now in a foster home and doing GREAT! Would you find a place for Arthur in your heart and home?

Arthur's joints which would correspond to wrists and ankles have a very limited range of motion. It is believe to be a congenital issue that he's had his whole life. He is not pained by the joint issue and has adapted movements to compensate for the stiffness in those joints.

Update from foster home:
Arthur is a complete cuddler and is eager to please. He likes nothing better than to be right next to his person on the couch watching TV or napping. He's a low-key little guy. He's mostly housebroken, but would probably do best kenneled for a while when the house is empty. He gets along well with all people (including children) and other dogs.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
