Bannon is a great dog that wants nothing more than a family to call his own.
He's crate trained, house trained, great with dogs of all sizes and good with cats.
Young children make him nervous so he would prefer a home with older, respectful kids or adults only.
Boundaries, consistency and routine help him relax and enjoy life.
He's food motivated but will train hard to earn a "good boy" and a scratch behind the ears.
So far he knows sit, stay, wait, leave it, place and "here" which means to touch an open palm.
He walks nicely on a leash with mild distractions and did well on a jog, although if you want to run, he'll need to work up to that.

While he'd like to sleep in your bed, he's fine in a crate or on a dog bed in your room at night. He'd also like to cuddle on the couch but he's ok snoozing on a dog bed near you. He's active when it's time to go and he's calm when it's time to just chill. He'll even stay on place while you cook dinner.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
