Meet Toto!

Toto, called Tobie, is a true gem! He is super friendly and loves everyone! He's good with dogs, though he does not engage them; just content to be in the same house with them. He does, however, prefer the cats....who would rather he not!

Toto is a great little car rider and walks well on a leash. He loves going for walks and just being outside. He likes balls, although he doesn't have the concept of 'fetch' yet. He is a true Terrier in the sense he likes to tear toys apart. ;-) But, he has never attempted to mess with any people things ... he just goes for the dog (and cat) toys.

He is, primarily, house-broken; sleeps quietly in a crate at night. Not fond of being kenneled during the day, but will tolerate it. He even is cooperative at bathtime.

He does like to know where his primary caregiver is. If his foster mom stays downstairs for too long, without him, he will bark. Yet, he is never underfoot.

One really great thing about Toto is - Toto does NOT beg for food! Wow!! He never has to be told to get away from the table when people are eating. He sits quietly in another room, without being sent out, without staring ... just curls up and takes a little nap until mealtime is over.

Toto is a quiet guy and is so happy to be a part of a family. He loves children and is so respectful. He would fit great in any type of family setting, regardless of people's ages or home restrictions.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
