Meet Anna!
 

Anna would do best with an experienced owner who will let her be independent but not be the boss, no young children who will startle her, and a spot she can call her own.
Could you be her forever home?

Anna began her journey as an unclaimed stray at a shelter.  She is a beautiful, independent, intelligent little lady with lots of love to give. Anna loves walks, car rides, and playing in the backyard.  

She likes playing with the other dogs in her foster home but only when she wants to.  She does best with dogs similar in size.  She is not a huge fan of toys but does enjoy them upon occasion. When she’s not playing, Anna enjoys hanging out in “her” spot whether it’s her dog bed in a crate or a special place on the couch. Although Anna likes hanging out in her crate/kennel, she doesn’t like the door to be closed. She will create quite a ruckus about this so her foster mom doesn’t do this frequently.

Anna does enjoy spending time with her foster mom but doesn’t want to always share the attention with other dogs.  When she receives attention, she prefers to be the focus. If she can’t have that, she will find something else to do.  She really enjoys food and has a propensity for obesity.  Because of this, her food intake, especially treats, need to be regulated.

Anna is housebroken in her foster home when kept on a schedule. Anna requires regular bathing and brushing both of which she tolerates well.  Anna can be a bit bossy and has a mighty attitude. She believes she is the queen bee of the household and will try to assume that place by being bossy with both people and other dogs. She needs a home that can work with her confidently and be her leader.
