Description:

Hi my name is Keltie, but my mom and dad call me Princess since they got me on the same day as Prince Harry and Meghan wedding day. They say my forever home may change my name or just call me Princess since I such a wonderful girl!!! :)

I was little scared when I got to my mom & dads home with their larger dogs, and as they tried to get to know me I got a little scared. :(. Now I am best friends with resident dogs, but I took a day to get fully comfortable with them.

MARS thinks I am a Catehoula / Aussie shepherd mix. My foster dad says I remind him of a snow leopard with my spots, which is likely my Catahoula hound breading.

My foster dad thinks I am a snugly girl who likes to sit next to him on the couch or in bed and get petted. Yes, my foster dad is bad and gives me furniture rights in his house, so I can be on couch and in bed at night. I also like to lay in the dog beds in his house.

I am working on house training and can go all night without going in house and am going out side most time. I will need some coaching from my new parents to get this down fully. It takes me a little time to smell around to find a good spot to go outside, so I will need some time in the morning out side. My foster parents let me have the full run of their house and I can play with the family dogs. They think I am a good puppy, but still put me in a kennel when they are out of the house. They still keep an eye on me when they are home since I have free run of the house to be sure I am safe and not doing something I should not be doing.

I like to play with the resident dogs but Teddy the Husky who is about 1 yr old has become my best friend!! Also, I like to chew on the Nyla bones in the house. I will likely be good with children, as I am very sweet natured, but my foster dad's kids are older and only come to visit now and then.

When I wiggle my tail I seem to wiggle my whole body from my front shoulders to my tail. I am a happy puppy. :)

I am doing well on my kennel training and only make a small fuss when my foster dad leaves for work, but I go right in when he askes me to and lucky me I get a treat when I do!

As I said my foster parents think I am a wonderful puppy!!! Even if I wiggle so much they can't take a good picture of me.

Please, consider me for your forever puppy.dog and so I can show you how I wiggle from my shoulders to my tail.

*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
