Meet Elsie!

Elsie can initially be shy when meeting new people but, once comfortable, she is a very happy and sweet girl who loves to be with her people and other doggy friends.

Elsie likes toys and chasing the ball outside. She's getting better at fetch and is even learning to drop the ball so her foster parents can throw it again! Her daily walks on the leash are going great and she doesn't pull too hard at all.

Elsie is doing well with potty training, as long as a routine is stuck to and the kennel is used when needed.

Elsie knows her name and the commands "come" and "no", and we're working on "stay". She is young but a really good listener and intelligent.

Elsie will does well with children and other dogs. She would do well in a home where she is able to get lots of attention, as she is not a big fan of the kennel or being left alone for too long, and can continue working on her training.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
