Description:

Aletta is a super gorgeous gal!! Just look at her and you will fall in love!

This girl could have fun all by herself whether outside or in, as long as there’s sunshine and you give her a tennis ball. When we walked her to do her temp test, she spotted a full PowerAde bottle and decided to carry that to the test for us. It was hilarious and we got a video of this (see her bio). Aletta is just absolutely wonderful and this is a loving girl who enjoys human attention and affection.

Aletta did test positive for heartworm and will receive treatment provided by MARS to live a long healthy life.

Foster update

Aletta is a sweetheart and full of character. She likes attention and loves treats and toys she can destuff. She seeks affection and not overly energetic, responds well to correction. She walks well on a leash and greeted people well.

She is very skinny and needs to fatten up. She does not seem picky about food and will eat as much as you will give her, which is good right now. Currently she gets a combo of dry and canned.

URGENT: needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses.

You simply provide a safe, loving home!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
