Meet Hamish!

Hamish will need an owner that can set some boundaries for him. He follows "rules" and direction very well, but if left to his own devices and choices he can be rather bossy with other dogs and people. Once he has clear expectations, he is a wonderful companion.

Hamish LOVES being with his person and is a great cuddler. He is not fond of men and will let them know by barking and snarking at them. Because of this, he is seeking a female only home.

Hamish loves to play with toys and other dogs. He is energetic and can be a rough player so is a better match with dogs his size or larger. Hamish also loves his walks. He can be bossy on walks and will react to other dogs and people.

A home with no shared walls is needed for this boy as he loves to hear his voice. He will bark at noises he hears both inside and outside.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
