Meet Cruise!

Cruise is medium energy, he likes to play hard but is happy to take snooze with humans as well. He is a very sweet and cannot get enough love.

Cruise is learning how to be a dog in a loving home and is nervous about new things. He has mastered the stairs and is getting really good at potty training.

Cruise walks pretty well on a leash, but does pull if he sees a squirrel or bird he wants to chase. He has made a lot of improvement on walking next to his foster parents while walking. He has done really well learning to pay attention when his name is called.

Cruise loves other dogs and does follow the resident dog's lead.

He loves people and gets a little nervous when they leave but his fosters are working on getting him more comfortable being left alone for longer periods of time.

Aside from time with his humans his next favorite thing is peanut butter. He sometimes needs encouragement to eat his kibble and little peanut butter is all the encouragement it takes.

Cruise has been doing really well with the resident cats, he is interested in them and wants to play but he respects there space if he gets a smack on the nose.

He has discovered a love for squeaky toys and toys that have something inside to chew on. He would love to play with toys that have water bottles or crinkles inside. He does chew them, so tough chewing toys are good for him. He has picked his favorite toy which is a hedgehog that makes chittering sounds when squeezed, he will be taking this with him to his new home.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
