Hello, my name is Diamond/aka Marilyn, but my foster mom sometimes calls me Big Mama because in my advanced age, I just weened my last litter of pups at the end of July. Now I can get the attention.  I LOVE belly rubs and politely ask for them all the time by just plopping down and rolling over.  I also like coming in to check in and snuggle and get kisses, but I am not overbearing and am incredibly gentle for my size and muscles.  I even take treats gently, and will sit nicely while I'm waiting for my dinner when I am told.  I am mostly a calm, quiet girl, but I am VERY interested in some other dogs and may be a bit too intense and cause them to be defensive. My foster mom has only seen me interact closely with her dog, who is almost my age and a bit high strung himself, if you ask me. Her cat was interesting at first but I got bored with him after a while, unless they pick him up. Then he is interesting again.   You may think I'm rickety because I am entering my senior years, but I have healthy energy and would really like to play and take long walks.  I dance too, when my people come home.  I can be an only dog and be a calm, comforting presence in your life, like your favorite hoodie.  I just want to be your loyal companion (and of course get lots and lots of belly rubs).

Marilyn did test positive for heartworm and will be receiving treatment provided by MARS to live a long healthy life.

*A dog with Heartworms is not directly contagious to other animals. Heartworms are transmitted by an infected mosquito.
