Hello!! I'm Biscuits, I was adopted from MARS as a puppy but, unfortunately, was surrendered to a local shelter in July. Well, once a MARS dog, always a MARS dog! Unfortunately my previous owner did not socialize me much outside of the home so I can be pretty reactive when meeting new dogs or people. I am especially frightened of men, I am sure they are not all bad but they just make me uncomfortable until I get to really know them. I know basic obedience and am eager to learn especially with treats involved. I like playing with other dogs that I have been properly introduced to and cats well they are not only great to cuddle with but also to sometimes chase. My favorite activities include sleeping in the sun, chewing on toys most of all though, I just love my people and being with them. I whine and get a little upset when they leave me alone and then I get SO excited when my people get home. I make sure to bring them a toy so they know how much I missed them every time! If I can't find a toy, a spare sock will do. I would love a safe fenced yard where I can just be myself and relax with you. I'm a goofy, expressive girl who just wants a place to call home forever.
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.
