Meet sweet Elyce (Ellie)!

Are you looking for a walking or running partner? Ellie is a timid soul looking for the perfect family who can help her gain confidence. She loves other dogs and would enjoy having a playful fur sibling. She does great on a leash and would be a perfect partner for someone looking to go out and explore - every new experience helps her understand that the world isn’t so scary after all.

Ellie will do best in a home with:

Another easygoing, playful dog that can continue to show her the ropes.
Patient humans that will give her the time and space she needs to get comfortable in your home.
A quiet, routine household – patient older teens might be ok, but children scare her.
A securely fenced yard. She does respect the foster’s 4-foot fence.

Ellie has so many positive aspects. She is fully housebroken, very quiet (we’ve never heard her bark), low maintenance, low shedding and she looks fabulous in sweaters and coats. She likes to nap in a quiet corner during the day and does great in a kennel at night. She needs people that will continue to work with her slowly and understand that it may take a few weeks for her to get comfortable with new people. Ellie is smart, beautiful and she wants nothing more than to find a forever family where she feels safe and loved.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
