Meet Bette!

  • Loyal

  • Enthusiastic

  • Smart

  • Cuddle Expert

This teenage American Bulldog mix came to us after growing up in rescue.  She is a young dog who wants to please and needs someone who will be her leader, teach her boundaries and structure and work her mind.

Bette is super smart and learns quickly. She has been enjoying some time in doggy day care lately and enjoys having other dogs around to play with. Although she can be a bit possessive with toys and other items of high value around other dogs. We want to get her in a home and work on those manners so she can be socially acceptable to other dogs.

No cats as again she is young and wants to rough house and those darn felines just can't keep up!  Small kids?  Well, she'll knock them back with her exuberance so kids over 14 who are tall enough to tell her no before he knocks them over.

Bette is a champion cuddler.  She always wants to be touching or at least with his dog or human companion.

This girl has lived her life in a shelter environment….Won’t you give her a chance to learn to be a dog??  She is loyal and ready to learn.

PETFINDER VIEWERS:  Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org

*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!
