I am just over 50 lbs and am a snuggle bug! My foster family is impressed with my recall, my heal, and how quick I respond to learning new commands.

What can I work on? Well if I could make my one floppy ear stand up like the other one I would be more uniform but it gives my foster family smiles,

I guess I could work on eating my food in one sitting I just like to have it all day, I get very excited when my foster family comes home and it takes me a few moments to get settled down, on a walk or when someone walks in the door

I just really like humans. I have not wondered to far away and even did some off leash training at Home Depot! I enjoy any dog I meet just takes me tiny bit to warm up then I play like a bunny.

Water did you say water?... I love the hose and will chase down every drip of water plus will jump right into the lake!

I check in often with my foster family to make sure to give them kisses so they don't miss me to long! I enjoy exercising and sleeping the day away, I can hike, swim and do tricks then nap and still sleep all night. My foster family leaves me loose in the house when they have to go somewhere without me, I have never had an accident or got into something that was not mine.

* Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.

Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
