Description:

I'm so very pleased to meet you! I'm good with kids and love other dogs. I like to spend my days busying myself with toys and doggie chewies. I like to stay active too by running and playing in the yard. However, I usually fit a few naps into my day as well. After all, who doesn't like a nap? I love to cuddle with my humans too. I'm learning what potty pads are and that I really should go outside to do my dirty business but it takes time to establish those habits. I'm searching for a fabulous forever home to share my life and love with! Do you want a great friend to join your family? Well, adopt me and let's start making lasting memories together!

Foster Update

Reacher has had a lot of contact with kiddos. He reacts warmly to all ages. He will sit like a gentleman for neck scratches and head pats! People can’t believe he’s so “chill” around people for such a young man. Many friends of ours have commented on how calm Reacher is. He is kind of an old soul in a puppy. He is already an amazing family dog.

Likes: Reacher loves being outside and learned how amazing a slow running hose can be for a drink and fun on a hot day. He loves to play, loves people and snuggles. He is smart, calm, and eager - training will be easier. I always mess with him and dig in his food while he eats and he has never growled, nipped, or shown any sign of problem.
Walking on a leash is going well. He will be the perfect (handsome) long walk or jogging partner.
Working on house training; with a schedule he has not had an accident in the house.
He is comfortable in his kennel and takes breaks throughout the day in a kennel alone, with one dog, or more, (or child by choice). He sleeps in a kennel at night.

* Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.

It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
