Description:

Loretta, we call her Etta is a very sweet and special girl. She came from a bad situation. We don’t know her story but we do know it wasn’t good. It took us a few weeks to gain her trust but now that we have it she’s gaining more and more confidence daily. She is not as scared if you get down on her level so she can lay next to you. She loves to cuddle in bed and will smother you with kisses. Belly rubs are her favorite thing ever.

Etta needs a kind, patient and loving home that will understand it will take time for her to fully love and trust you. She is very shy so when you meet her please understand she more than likely will be fearful and not come to you. At the same time remember she is a work in progress and will eventually come around. Etta would do best with another dog in the home and older children that won’t startle her. She is good with cats too.

If you are looking for a sweet girl that loves all people, all dogs and kids please consider rescuing Etta. She is ready to start her new life with a great family.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
