Meet Dearie aka Pixie!

This adorable little girl has been through quite a lot in her one year on this earth. She came from a place where she had no socialization and was left on a chain as a puppy.

She is doing fabulous in her foster home:
Houstrained
Crate Trained
Knows lots of commands
Walks well on a leash
Loves other dogs
very attentive and wants to please

Dearies only quirk is her stranger danger. She will bark and bark but avoid the human until she knows that the person will not hurt her. She is getting much better but her forever family needs to know to continue socialization and to allow her to be comfortable with people before people bum rush her. She fully believes in social distancing.

If you want to be her immedaite best friend bring a peanut butter kong when you meet her.

She will make you smile everyday and be loyal to the end. She even completed a board and train!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
