If you are looking for a level 5 lovebug Theodora is your girl!

Once she knows that you are her human she will want nothing more than to sit in your lap and kiss your face, this is her favorite activity. In addition to cuddles Theodora loves to play with her plush squeaky toys. When she is not cuddling or playing you can find Theodora practicing basic commands. She has very quickly learned ‘sit’, ‘down’, and to go to her mat. Such a smart girl! Theodora is house trained and does well in her kennel. She goes into her kennel easily and will sleep there peacefully through the night. Theodora has settled in with her foster’s resident dog and they are getting along. Cats and critters are another story, these are fascinating to Theodora she loves to chase and bark at them. She has not met any children since she has been with her foster family so that is still unknown. Going for walks with Theodora is generally pleasant, it is really exciting for her when she knows it’s time to go out. When meeting new people Theodora can be very vocal, after she knows she can trust someone then she will be their friend. Theodora is generally quiet when she is at home although she will be sure to alert you if someone is walking by the window, she’s a great watch dog. Affectionate, smart, and such a sweet canine friend to have by your side that is Theodora!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
