Description:

Meet Domino,

Domino is the definition of a companion.  He loves playing with his family more than anything in the world. He is fantastic with children, he plays daily with his 11 year old human foster sister, and when they get tired out he will even let her rest her head on his belly while they take a nap or watch television. He also plays with my 3 year old niece, he will follow her around the house just to make sure she is o.k. Domino is always up for snuggling, or ready to go outside for a walk or to play.

Domino loves to play with his canine foster brother or curl up on the couch with him after playtime. His favorite toys are balls of any kind. He will even play by himself by throwing the ball up with his mouth, watch it fall and chase after, then do it all over again.

Domino loves the dog park and he will play there for as long as you let him. Domino plays terrific with any kind of dog, even the little puppies he plays with he will lie down and roll over so the puppy can climb all over him. He also plays great with the bigger dogs, he loves to run and chase or play tug of war with them.

He is completely potty trained, and will let you know when he needs to go out.He is Kennel trained and stays in ther for about 4hours at a time when we we are not home.

Domino is also a big kisser, whenever you are feeling down it will seem that he just knows, and he will come up and start giving you kisses. He is great off the leash, and never leaves your side, but if he does you can just call him over and he gets excited that you called his name and comes running. His on the leash skills are improving, especially now that we started using the gentle leader harness.

He knows most the basic commands, sit, down, come, shake, give, and stay. He has learned to not jump on people when they come over, which he used to do, but he still gets so excited he just jumps in place instead. It is one of the cutest things you will ever see!

Whoever gives Domino a chance for a permanent home will not be disappointed, he is a terrific dog all around.

Thank You!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
