Meet Laney, she needs a foster as her current foster is traveloing for the next month

She has been with us for a couple of months now as she went through heartworm treatment. She is doing well and is ready for her family.

She loves kids, she would be so happy to have kids in her new life

She is ok with dogs after she feels safe around them. She could care less about cats and birds. She doesn't like squirrels

She is learning that a leash is her friend and she has good days and bad days. A fenced yard would really benefit her. She has the true hound mentalitiy of not wanting to work too hard and enjoys lounging.

She is housebroken and does well in a room or a crate.

She was found tied to a barrel in Mississippi, safter her owners moved and left her there for a couple of months, o she is learning how to trust all over again.

She is snuggly, and just wants a family who will love her. She is a great couch buddie for movies or game day!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
