Description:
Eloise is definitely a unique looking fuzzy pitty who’s mix is a mystery. Eloise really has come a long way in foster care. Her confidence is growing and loves meeting new people of ALL ages. She tends to be more submissive or docile at first but doesn’t take long before she’s leaning in for some affection from anyone with a spare hand. She has a goofy, playful personality and is very good at creating her own fun. She is super affectionate and loves nothing more than to curl up on your lap like a 54lb cat for some belly rubs. Eloise gets along great with other dogs including the 13yr old resident dog. It took about 2-3weeks for them to become BFF’s and follow each other around everywhere. She’s curious about the resident cat but really could care less. Her ears perk up and head tilts when the cat starts snarling and hissing at her. After a 30sec stare down Eloise just moves on. She loves car rides and going to the park where she can run off her pent-up energy. She is okay on short walks but still needs a lot more work with pulling and wanting to jump around and grab the leash away. She gets so excited and just wants to go- go-go. She’d be great at agility or scent work or something fun and challenging. Very smart and quick learner so needs a job to keep her constantly busy and entertained

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
