Walton was welcomed into our home on 1/11. He quickly acclimated to a new environment with kids, 2 dogs and a cat! He is curious, playful and submissive--frequently lying on his back and loving to be cradled in your arms. He attentive and food motivated and we think he will do very well with training. He is already great at recall and "sit". Walton sleeps through the night (7+ hours) in a large kennel and wakes up around 6:30am ready to be with his people! He is potty-trained and stands by the door to signal he wants to go outside. Besides his first day with us, he has not had a single accident inside the house! Walton was born in the south but has a northern spirit - he loves to be outside in the cold and snow! He does great on-leash for neighborhood walks, off-leash at the park, or just exploring the fenced in yard on his own. Walton also has enjoyed a few hangs at the local brewery and spent time at a new house with a baby. He is a lovable and well-adapted pup! We have treated Walton like one of our own in hopes that he can be YOUR best friend. We want to see him go to his forever home. Would you like to meet him?
* Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.

It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
