Description:
Hi! My name is Bailey! My family moved recently and couldn’t take me with, which is just a shame since I am such a good girl. I can be a little timid at first, but it is only a little and I warm up quickly. Within a couple minutes I will probably be giving you lots of kisses. I am such a sweet heart so cuddling and giving kisses are some of my favorite things to do. I also do a really good job of staying in my crate while my foster mom and dad are at work. They give me some yummy peanut butter in a kong and I go right in. When they get home I am very excited but calm down very quickly. I enjoy going for walks and I wear a special harness that helps me so I don’t even pull. My foster mom says it is a pleasure to walk me. With a short walk I just enjoy relaxing on the couch with my foster mom and the other doggies in the house. Although I only need a walk to be a calm house dog I am sure I would also make a fabulous jogging companion. I also sleep in my crate at night, but would love to sleep in your bed if you let me. My foster mom and dad don’t want me on the bed and I learned quickly, but the minute someone invites me onto the bed I jump right on. I also love to play with my toys, especially my hard nyla bones, I like to chew, but I don’t ever chew on things that aren’t mine. I also like to play with my two doggie housemates, and with my former family I even liked to play with the cat. I am doing some training work right now and they tell me I am very smart. I know sit, down, a short stay and like I said I walk nice on the leash with my harness. I also know how to sit and wait politely for my food until my foster mom says “OK”. Do I sound like the perfect dog for you? Please consider giving me a forever home. I will shower you with kisses forever. So, sound like you wanna meet me? I wanna meet you! Bailey Please feel free to fill out an Adoption Application on our main website, www.midwestanimalrescue.org, by clicking on the Form/Applications link under Website Features. Thank You! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
