Meet Hardy!

Hardy is a happy, fun-loving dog who’s always up for an adventure. He’s the kind of pup who makes every day better — playful, loyal, and ready to tag along for anything from a long hike to a lazy afternoon on the couch.

Hardy gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and would love a canine buddy to romp around with. He’s fully kennel trained, leash trained. — a smart, well-mannered guy who just wants to please his people.

However, Hardy does have a few clear boundaries that help him feel safe and happy. He cannot live with cats — his dislike for them runs deep, and it causes him significant stress. He also needs a home without young children, as loud or fast-moving kids make him very anxious.

Hardy’s ideal family will be active and dog-savvy — someone who appreciates a companion that’s always ready for fun but also loves to relax when the day winds down.

He’s truly an awesome dog who just needs the right environment to thrive — one filled with adventure, love, and no cats, no chaos, just happiness.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
