Luckee is an absolutely gorgeous purebred Papillon. Luckee came into rescue after his family could no longer give him the care they knew he deserved. Luckee currently lives with a papillon foster-sister and 3 resident cats, which he adores. The best part about Luckee (aside from his good looks) is that he is already housetrained - no destructive behaviors and has been asking to go outside to potty. Luckee walks great on a leash and loves to go out in the world and explore. Luckee does love snuggling up on the couch to watch a good movie and take a few naps during the day, but he is not a couch potato… he LOVES to play! Mini tennis balls and squeaky toys don’t stand a chance with Luckee in the house! He retrieves and drops the toys nicely so you can throw it again, and again, and again… Luckeee is very intelligent and has already been picking up a few new tricks in his foster home. Luckee may also excel in agility or other interactive dog sports with training if it is something you are interested in trying. Luckee is working on crate training in his foster home for travel and when his foster family is out of the home. He is clean in his crate and loves the Kong treats his foster family puts in there for him. Of course, he would rather be out and playing, but the training is coming along well. Luckee would do great in almost any household… although he would enjoy a home with mini tennis balls the best! Luckee would also do best in a home without small children. Luckee is not the kind of dog who will come and give you slobbery kisses right away on a first meeting, but don’tworry, it only takes him a few minutes before he is ready to give you love. If you are willing to give him a chance, once he knows you, you will be his everything! So, what are you waiting for? Luckee is ready to play and snuggle… are you?
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
