His foster Mom wants you to know:

Bernie or "Briggs" as we call him, is a pleasant, silly, easygoing fellow.
He is happy to see his people, and then easily distracted by the next
object in sight. He is a goofy oversized puppy with the grace of an obese
2nd grader. His legs and tail just flop in different directions. Briggs
likes dogs and kids, is not much interested in cats, and actually walked
right under my horses belly--I mentioned that Briggs is not real concerned
about anything, right?

He is quiet in his crate, stays behind a baby gate overnight, and prefers
to be tied outside where he just watches the world go by. He does not bark
much. When he is loose and I am working outside, he likes to follow me, or
sit near the house and watch. He has not wandered or chased anything (I
sense that "chasing" would take too much energy).

He likes squeaky toys and this is the only time he brings it up a notch
from "pretty slow" to "just above slow". Briggs will throw the toy in the
air, twist and pounce on it. If it rolls more that 12 inches away, it is a
huge undertaking to find it. Though perhaps it is just hard to see when
your head is tilted far to the left, then far to the right, with all the
wrinkles rolling over your eyebrows.

He does not wrestle or play much with my dogs, but really enjoys being
around them. He likes to walk with his people, and even better is to back
up for a Rump Scratch.

Briggs is housebroken, and has been easy to have around. He does drip his
water as far as he can when he drinks. Maybe it is an inside joke?  He
will learn his basic commands quickly, but his gentle, pure soul is
already intact.
