WOW! Talk about a HANDSOME DOG! This beautiful boy had been sitting in a cage at a pound, alone for so long! WAY, WAY TOO LONG!
He was really not doing well confined in his kennel at the pound. We have found a foster home to take good care of him while we look for his new FOREVER home. He is far too social to have been so isolated and this was definitely taking a toll on him.

Black Jack is utterly bursting with unconditional love for anyone who shows him a sliver of attention and kindness.

Black Jack is about a year old. Bright and exuberant, he turned into a different dog before our very eyes when he was taken out of his lonely cell-out of the confines of the pound. We are very grateful that a kind soul came to his rescue.

There is something so special about this dog.

Black Jack is a diamond in the rough, really. He simply needs someone who will give him a chance. Someone who will take time to show him the ropes of what is expected of him. And help him channel his unbridled enthusiasm in positive and appropriate ways. He is very eager to learn and already understands some basic commands.

He is so desperate for love and attention- he truly shines when he gets to be with people! There is nothing that would make this boy happier than to be part of a family where he felt loved and appreciated! He is great with kids- I know that in his wildest dreams he would adore going home to a family with kids to play with! It would make his life worth living!

Black Jack has a long, thin body and is a tall boy. He has the typical, blocky Lab head with the most stunning amber eyes. His coat is silky, glossy black. He is so jet black- he's almost blue!

Black Jack has a very deep, commanding bark that sounds distinctively German Shepherd. His voice would never allow anyone with questionable intentions to get close to your house! He will be a LOYAL best friend to your whole family!! Clearly, this is a dog who would give you his whole heart and soul!
