Description:
Sweet Arctic needs a foster or forever home to hang his boots! This poor boy has QUITE the story to tell. Left tied to a pole in downtown Mpls, Arctic is recovering from Lymes disease, poor diet and Pannus of the Corneas in BOTH eyes. This angel is WONDERFUL. He is great with kids, other dogs, cats, people, YOU NAME IT! Despite his medical needs for the Pannus and some mild arthritis, this boy is the best fit for almost any family; though, he would prefer a more quiet and less active family. He is having a hard time keeping up with his active foster home! If you would like to foster or adopt Arctic, please click on the link below.
Hello, I am Artic, yes I am white and pure love, I am loyal and will follow you every where you go unless I am doing my several nap times a day. I'm kinda like a cat, naps through out the day! I live with one at my foster home and I'm liking his way of thinking. I also don't mind him at all... I sneak the toys out of the toy box and prance my way down the hall way doing small growns letting every one know I found it first but gladly give it up when asked. I will sit for you when asked... takes me a bit to do it, not because I don't want to, but I have to adjust my legs a bit. I know how to lay on command. I love to go for walks but I would rather have a harness when walking cuz I pull a bit , I am working on that. My foster mom leaves for hours and I never have an accident , my foster brothers have to get out of thier cozy naps in the mornings to go out but I'd rather sleep for a more appropriate time and hold it! I do need drops in my eyes twice a day becuase I don't have tear ducts. My humans call it Pannus of the corneas - whatever that means! I just know I love a warm wash cloth wiped over my eyes a few times a day to help with the cleaning. If your looking for a loyal laid back boy I could be yours for ever. OH!! and did I mention my mom does foster care for humans, and there are several children here and I love each and every one of them no matter whats going on. I am your boy for all around layed back, full of love... When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
