Description:
UPDATE FROM HIS FOSTER FAMILY: Mario (A.K.A. Argos) is a very happy sweet boy that loves to snuggle and play. He will rest his head in your lap and likes to place his paw in your hand. He will spring into the air when he is excited but he doesn't jump on people it's quite comical. He will nuzzle his face on your legs to say hi. He sleeps in his bed with his stuffed dog and a big blanket that he hides his muzzle in. He likes chasing Sometimes it takes Mario a little getting use to small children and they make him nervous. Given a few minutes he does calm down and sniff their hands. Due to this he will go to a home with children over 10 who can be respectful of his space. He is an amazing boy and he is waiting for YOU to click the ADOPT button...come on...Mario is waiting! My name is Mario and I'm a Shepherd mix. I've been making friends at the shelter since I came in on March 27 and I really think that it's about time that I find a family. I'm really nice, you see. I would love a nice dog bed to hang out on and some people to play with. Can you help me? Can you believe that sweet Mario has been at the shelter since March??? This is no place for a sweet boy that is GOOD WITH DOGS, AND CHILDREN. MARS is saving this sweet boy from having to sit at the shelter any longer and he needs your help! He will be getting a ride to MN at the end of September and would LOVE to crash at your place. Looking for the perfect dog? Here is your chance Please click ADOPT to help this boy learn what love is! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
