Meet Billy

When Billy came to his foster mommy's house he wouldn't
respond to the name Billy, so his foster mom told him, 'You
are so handsome, muy guapo" and Guapo turned around and wagged his tail. From then on, his foster mom and dad refer to him lovingly as Guapo and handsome he is!

He has the softest, shiniest coat ever, perfect for napping next to you. Guapo loves a good nap and even likes to lie on his back with his paws in the air while he catches some zzz's. Guapo is so patient and kind to his foster doggie sister - she is full of energy and Guapo will play with her for hours, never complaining while she jumps on him and wants him to play.

Guapo is fully potty trained and is learning to sit and stay. He loves to snuggle and constantly thinks he is a lap dog! Guapo has been around kids 5 and under and done wonderful!

He has so much love to give - he has the sweetest and calmest disposition his foster mommy has ever seen in a dog, why someone would surrender him to a shelter is an absolute mystery.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
