Meet Xander!

Xander is a terrer mix pup that is sure to bring joy to any home! He is great with other dogs and gets along with people of all ages.

Xander is a true gentleman. He sits for treats, will sit upon return to the house after walks and for his dinner. He loves other dogs, is fine with cats and was one of the hosts at a holiday party with 50 people, including an infant and a 5 year old. He was very gentle, quiet and interested in everything, well behaved and adored by those attending the gathering. He loves people and warms up very fast. He goes right outside and takes care of business and returns right away. He goes right in his kennel for bedtime. Xander loves going on walks and has an amazing vertical jump that brings a smile to our face every time! He can get himself into the smallest ball and just curl up and nap. He is a good cuddler, and likes to be around people. He warms the heart of everyone he meets!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
