Meet Little Bitty!

This small gentleman was surrendered by his owners who could no longer afford to take care of him. Little Bitty is handsome, sweet, does well with dogs and cats. He likes to be around people and older, respectul children.

Update from the foster home:

Don't let this little guy's age fool you! He is one feisty and fun guy - we can't tell he is actually a senior because he has spunk and energy. Little Bitty has the nicest teeth of most dogs I have seen.

He is the easiest dog to have around. He is completely house trained. He sits quietly so his leash can be attached. He walks confidently at one's side on walks. If Little Bitty needs to go out, he will come find you and quietly whine to let you know - a nice way to keep the housetraining in check.

He sits for his food bowl and has the most adoring smile when he sits up and begs for his treats! We made a video of Little Bitty doing just that - check it out! He loves his toys. He has the most ferocious growl with the fastest wagging tail when he is whipping his toys back and forth so fast you can barely see them! He also fetches that toy again and again for play.

Little Bitty loves to snuggle under covers and blankets and will completely cover himself. At night, he kennels up night and sleeps through quietly. He has not once chewed or damaged anything in the house while having the freedom to roam everywhere while we are at work. (The vacation foster mom let him sleep in the human bed for a week and he buried himself under the blanket and didn't move all night).

We just found out he can sing and when we get him started, it is quite endearing. OK, that may not get Little Bitty a spot on American Idol, but it's the effort that counts! Check out his new video where he's practicing. (And these sounds effects are only when a human gets him started - no singing or howling from Little Bitty otherwise, he's a quiet guy).

Little Bitty is a doll! Easy to have around, great fun and a youthful spirit. Gets along great with other dogs. He is a charmer indeed!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
