Meet Bernadette!

Beatrice, Bernadette and Benington are looking for a new home. They are aged 5, 6, and 7 years and have been together for the last 5 years.   Their owner has just gone into hospice.    At this time, we are looking for a foster or adopter who would be willing to take all three into care.    It may be possible that they could be adopted separately, but we don’t know at this point how attached they are to each other.

They are sweet, good-natured snugglers who enjoy each others company.   Ben is the most playful of the bunch and likes playing with toys.   They have not been outside much and are trained to use potty pads.   They are good with dogs and people. They are good with kids, though not a good match for younger kids or toddlers because they are so tiny.    The three together weigh about 12 lbs!

They have been well-cared for and much loved.    Beatrice had a broken leg at one time which was taken care of.   She doesn’t like to jump off furniture.   Neither Beatrice nor Bernadette do stairs.
They can be left alone together without problems and will go into a crate - though they prefer their beds.

A family member who has been caring for them during the past weeks says they are very easy to care for.    Could you help them get a start on a new life?

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
