Description:

Hi there! I’m Astro (aka Alvin). I am the definition of one cute puppy. Although I am a puppy, my foster mom can’t stop bragging about how well behaved I am. I get along great with my fur-foster brother (male 65lb lab mix) and fur-foster sister (female 40lb boxer).

My current routine is to get up in the morning, go outside, scarf down my breakfast and play with my fur-foster sister. After some play time I go into my kennel (willingly with a treat) while my foster mom heads to work. I do best in my kennel with some music turned on and my fur-foster buddies around.

My routine is similar in the evening when my foster mom returns. We also go on walks which I enjoy. Being that I’m still young I need a little more practice walking on a leash, while I don’t pull, I sometimes get confused on which side of my foster mom I should be walking on, needless to say. we all get a little tangled up.

Towards the end of the evening I enjoy chewing on a toy and or cuddling on the couch. At the end of the day, I curl up on my bed, which is on the floor next to my foster mom’s bed, and I do a pretty good job of sleeping through the night. I’m not a very vocal dog but will let you know if I hear or see something that is unusual. Overall, I’m a great puppy turning into an even better dog and looking for my fur-ever family and home!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
