Description:
Flora came into rescue with her mom and sister when she was only 3 days old. Flora is the only surviving kitten of Fey's litter. Fey's other daughter (tabby kitten) is featured in the rainbow bridge section of the MARS website. The third passed away the same day as birth before coming to rescue. Flora was bottle fed in addition to nursing with her mother Fey. Her mom had trouble producing milk. She enjoys all the attention she can get. Her favorite treats are baby formula and roast beef lunch meat... She will get under foot until she gets what she wants. The baby gets what baby wants at her foster home. Baby Flora loves to bug her mom, play with the resident cats, and climb big furry dogs. She is a typical, floofy kitten. Flora's ideal home would be somewhere that she would continue to be spoiled rotten! She loves other animals and has no natural fear of dogs so should be supervised closely. A kitty tower by a window would be TONS of fun for this floofy baby. She has learned from the resident cats to scratch the kitty tower/perch instead of furniture. This is encouraged with treats and catnip. She also likes to help with the laundry so her forever family will need to keep a close watch on her to keep her out of harms way. My adoption fee covers my boosters, rabies, FIV/ Feluek test, microchip and spay. Do you have room in you home and heart for me? Please fill out an application as I am waiting to meet you! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
