Rehoming Resources

If rehoming becomes necessary, these resources can help you safely find a new home for your pet.

Whenever possible, we recommend first reaching out to the rescue or organization your pet was adopted from, as they may be able to provide guidance, support, or accept the pet back into their care.

Home-to-Home

Connect directly with adopters in your community.

Adopt-a-Pet Rehome

Safe, supported pet rehoming platform.

Important for MARS Adopters:
Pets adopted through Midwest Animal Rescue & Services must be returned to MARS if you are no longer able to care for them, as outlined in your adoption contract. This ensures their safety and allows us to place them in a new, carefully screened home.

If you believe your situation may require an exception, please contact us to discuss next steps.

Still need guidance?

We hope these resources help you find the support you need.

If you’ve explored these options and still need assistance, you may contact our team and we will do our best to guide you toward appropriate resources.
