A tribute gift to MARS is a meaningful way to remember someone you love, honor a special person or pet, or celebrate a moment that matters.
Tribute gifts come from many places: love, grief, gratitude, celebration, and the wish to do something good in someone’s name.
You’ll be able to dedicate your gift on the donation form.
A Gift With a Name Behind It
A tribute gift can honor many kinds of love.
It may be given in memory of a beloved person or pet. It may be given in honor of someone special. It may celebrate a birthday, wedding, adoption anniversary, retirement, or meaningful milestone.
However you choose to give, your donation becomes part of the rescue work that helps animals find safety, care, foster homes, and the road home.
Ways to Give in Honor, Memory, or Celebration
Remember a beloved pet whose love stays with you.
Honor the memory of someone who loved animals, rescue, or the life you shared together.
Celebrate a pet who has brought joy, comfort, or companionship into your life.
Recognize someone special with a gift that helps animals in need.
Mark a wedding, birthday, adoption anniversary, retirement, or meaningful moment with a gift that gives back.
How to Leave Your Dedication
When you reach the donation form, check the box that says “Dedicate this gift.”
From there, you’ll be able to choose the type of dedication:
In Memory of a Pet
In Memory of a Person
In Honor of a Pet
In Honor of a Person
Then, use the “Who do you want to recognize?” field to enter the name of the person or pet your gift is honoring.
Simple dedication lines are perfect, such as:
“In memory of Someone Dearly Loved”
“In honor of Buddy”
“In memory of Max”
“In honor of Sarah”
There is also an optional message area if you would like to include a note with your gift.
About Public Dedication Lines
MARS may share short dedication lines on a future tribute or dedication page, using the dedication type and name provided with your gift. For example: “In memory of Someone Dearly Loved” “In honor of Buddy” Only the simple dedication line would be shared publicly. Longer messages, stories, photos, and personal notes will not be posted automatically. If you would prefer that your dedication not be listed publicly, please let us know in the optional message field when you make your gift.
